Ive been looking for OEM front bumpers for my 98 eclipse GST but cant seem to find them only one i found was a front bumper cover thats made of plastic. Anyone know where i can find OEM front bumpers?

Pretty much anything OEM you find now will be in used condition.

You can find OEM bumpers at auto recyclers, online marketplaces, and sometimes on ebay. Just be aware that that it can be very hard to find one in an undamaged or unmodified condition.

Front bumpers are large and expensive to ship, so if you can find one nearby, that's a win. Sometimes sellers will ship them though. I bought one from a recycler in another state and they sent it by freight. They didn't deliver to a residential address but I was able to pick it up at the terminal.

Some info for your search:
You can tell the difference between OEM and aftermarket by the natural material color (aftermarket tends to be black, OEM is light colored on the unpainted side). OEM bumpers also feature a three-diamond Mitsubishi logo indentation for the emblem. Aftermarket is almost always flat (shaved-looking) or has a triangle indentation, and not the three-diamond shape.

You can use any 2gb (1997-1999) front bumper cover from any trim level (RS, GS, GS-T, GSX), but if you get one from a stock RS it will have fog light covers instead of bezels (if these are even included in the sale) because it wasn't equipped with fog lights from the factory.

I'm not sure if all trim levels had both air inlet covers installed either. I know my RS and the GS coupe does, but I'm not sure about the turbo models or spyders. Again though, these might not even be included in the sale.

Good luck, and I hope this information helps. :thumb:

IVe seen a few on Facebook marketplace quite frequently, but not local to you. Since youre on the East Coast, you might try contacting Kannapolis Auto Parts(Stevie Miller on Facebook) since he parts out a lot of DSMs and do a pick up. It would be a road trip cause it looks like its 4 hours from you in North Carolina. Otherwise, it depends on how long youre willing to wait for one to become available in your area though other means.
