i have the tsudo header(exact same thing as obx) and i also have the tsudo cat-back. both are nice products. i like the cat-back alot, but headers in any form are pretty pointless so there nice for what they do.

I have the Megan Racing header from ebay, Pro Car Parts.com cold air intake from ebay, and the Tenai N1 cat-back which is basically the same thing as the Tsudo cat-back and all my parts work wonderfully... :thumb:

Oh yeah, and I also have the Megan resonator/test pipe which definitely makes my car not street legal...but I'm not that worried... :tease:

check out my pic... those be some fine OBX headers... they work great for me, and are nice and cheap, if you plan on going turbo its not such a heartbreaker to toss out....

i bought the those same OBX headers and the Megan racing cat back exhaust and both work great. it really pepped the car up a little after installing them, and the megan racing exhaust has a nice deep tone to it. plus it makes a great sound when a little back pressure builds up ROFL .

does anyone know about that intake manifold, i was thinkin about gettin one of those but i didnt know if it would be worth it, or if i even could considering im putting a turbo on the car.

I'm scared of getting the thing and failing emissions. Are the headers orcat back going to affect emissions?

thats inaccurate... first it depends on your states emissions. i know california has the most strict emissions, i have smog papers to prove what a header will do. my hydrocarbon count went form 16ppm (which is a good number) to 96ppm!!!! after the header install. so saying it wont cause you to fail is crap.... when you add a header, the heat dissipates off alot more efficiently than a stock manifold so the catalytic converter never reaches operating temperature, your test results will show that the engine was cold, but only it stays that way... i know in cali the header will cause you to fail, but muffler and catback wont :dsm:

This is why I'm tempted to have the dealer just throw on the stock catback system. Not worth risking emissions.

no thats inaccurate. if your cat doesnt reach operating temperature then it wont do its job because it needs to be at operating temperature to work as its designed to. if it doesnt work as its designed to then it will throw a CEL. so tell me did you get a CEL from your header?

and nothing is really legal in cali unless it has a carb sticker(been passed by carb as legal)

Well I'm near Washington, DC so no worry about California stuff. All I care about is when they do the readings on that machine is it putting out less than the max. Still no answer. ONe person says one thing, one person says another.

yea i would like an asnwer to my question about the intake manifold.

theres no way to tell you if its going to pass emissions or not, every state is different, it depends on what your states numbers are and if they even do smog or emissions tests. and no carb stickers no longer are good there. i got a referee ticket 2 weeks before moving, you have to take it to a state referee and they tell you what to fix, i had to replace my injen intake (had a C.A.R.B. #) and my catback (which was understandable b/c i took out the resonators)... at the time i didnt have the header

O come on we know anything that helps free up exhaust gas restriction is not to pointless :p

it will pass emmissions as long as you have a cat in there. ive had 2 different exhausts on my talon and it passed both times. header just helps vent the exhaust so it wont do any harm, and im in wisconsin.

I'm thowing my .02. I live in harris county texas, our emissions are tough, not cali tough but close. My car has a header and a resonator that replaced my cat. My car passes emissions. Chris is right about the cat, it has to reach operating temp to work efficiently, thats why it's packed with ceramic bricks. All the header does is speed up the travel of exhaust gasses from the exhaust side of the head. It does not create new noxious emissions, just blows them out quicker. You could have gotten a higher reading due to the fact that your cat got too hot and all the material inside broke down(just a thought).

wtf? if by 'there' you mean Cali then that is a false statement. I got pulled over for a loud 'exhaust' (muffler) and I was asked to pop my hood all I had was a v2 in there and I showed him my papers (carb exempt etc) and I was on my way.

well it depends on how long ago that was... theyre no longer doing "fix it" tickets which is what the CARB stickers got you out of. Now there is this wonderful thing called the state referee, which as the law states in CA now, if you have anything modified on your vehicle, ANYTHING, they can send you to the state referee, papers or no papers, labels or no labels.

Eesh thats rough...when I was in cali a few years back it seemed like everywhere you went there was an import pulled over by a cop, $20 says that guys with muscle cars don't get hassled near as much as we do. As for the intake manifold, don't bother... it'll look nice but don't expect any performance gains

I will probably hear it about this but !!CALI SUCKS!!
Lived there 25 years so I talk from experience.

As for the "muscle cars" not getting pulled over
My 66 elcamino and my Z28 had me sitting on the side of the road
more times than the rest of my cars combined.(imports inculded)

As for smog garbage, come to Oregon NO emissions in my area.
and just 45 min from Cali....Gotta love it.

:tease: CALIFORNIA
