OBX headers. yes or no? explain

Well i guess it all has to do with what you have in mind for later. Are you going to go all non turbo (ie N/T) with maybe N2O, or are you gona go turbo? If you are completely for sure u will never go turbo, then yeah go for the goods, but keep in mind headers don't give you all that much hp. If you are going to go turbo eventually but still want to have a fun sound then go with the OBX, OBX isn't a bad brand. As a side note i have a set of 4-1 OBX header that i will sell for $50 before ship, they are used, about 5 months old. But they are discolored, all the OBX and any none coated stainless stell headers will do it, they look kinda gold with some blue. They are in good condition, never bottomed out with it, will send all gaskets needed. Oh and i'm getting rid of them so i can go turbo. I did what i suggested, i bought the OBX becasue they were cheap and fun sounding plus gave a little hp. PM me or email [email protected]

no, I'm staying NA. i want to finish off my exhaust though because I already have from the downpipe back. i want to get rid of my manifold and get a header-downpipe.

are there flaws with these? they are bigger than stock specs right?

heres a link to a thread i started about them a month ago. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144854 i would get them right now if i had the money but i spent it on an under drive pulley an underdrive pulley with help you out tremendously i was amazed at how big of a difference it made i got the unorthodox racing udp its the most expensive but you pay for what you get and i also got a killer deal. :laser:

hey mike, does the udp slow down your alternator because I have heard that if it does then you can wreck the alt and battery? also, i am installing a sub tomorrow so I need all the power I can get.

I have them on my N/T. I basically got them for the looks because my manifold was cracked. They look good and are like tons lighter than the stock header and downpipe.

Downside: Engine bay gets really hot with these on.

Good luck. :thumb:

they don't have the ceramic coating do they? I have a guy here who can do that for me.

thanks, what about my other question. do the headers have a ceramic coating?

You can buy them with a ceramic coating, yes. They'll be anywhere from 20-50 dollars more though.

there website(which is pretty crappy) lists the Ceramic coated ones as being 70 bucks less than the regular ones.
