Yup, the USDM o2 sensor is a four wire, and the JDM one is a single wire. You'll have to use your old O2 sensor, or buy a new one. Hope that helps.

can i jus cut my 4 wire plug off...then cover the 3 i don't need and just attach it straight to the 1 wire on the o2 sensor side?

I don't know if you will get reliable readings from a sensor that was meant to be heated and now will not be.

With that being said, I think the single wire 02 sensors are fairly cheap.

it will be heated...jus takes longer to heat up.

Has anyone done this? If so howd it work out?

You might get some CE light or have an O2 problem with your car doing things like that. Just use your old O2 sensor like has been suggested instead of butchering the existing sensor. Then it's the proper sensor and you don't have to worry about it.

Cutting corners like that costs you big time in the long run.

It won't be self-heating as you would chop off the heater wires.

Im not looking to cut corners, just solutions to my problem.

I will jus drop in my o2 housing from my other engine with the 4 plug sensor, as that seems to be the most reliable way.

That is exactly what I did, works great!
