o2 Not Cycling

I'm helping a buddy out getting his 1g running. We got the car running pretty good, but right now the o2 is not cycling.

I notice the plastic around the o2 sensor was broken so he had a spare engine harness and I cut and splice the new plug into his harness.

He's using TMO datalogger, and right now the o2 sensor is reading 0.02 volts.
I let the car warmed up and tap on the gas acouple times, but still reads 0.02.

Is there anything i can do to test the plug on the harness? i know the o2 sensor is good since it was new on the car he took it from. Right now his interior is torn up a bit, and the ECU is just sitting on the carpet. Is there a ground or plug that might be unplugged?

Are you sure you aren't reading the signal from one of the heater wires for the o2s?

Make sure you have +12v and Ground on two of the wires in the O2 sensor plug.

And the signal wire going back to the ecu isn't broken.


If the car is running very very lean, you could be getting a correct reading.

Ok, I took a look around and the car was running DSMLink before, so some of the wires was spliced. Notice the o2 wire was cut in two. I reconnected them. and check with TMO. It read 0.02 at first, then after a couple seconds, dropped to 0.00v. When I tap on the gas, it responded. But then after that I didn't get anything from that. It stayed at 0.00v, even when I tap the gas.

I forgot the car isn't totally stock. Its running a 2g Maf, and 550cc Injectors. Nothing to adjust for fuel yet. Not sure if that's going to be a problem... I was told both would equal them self out kinda.... 2g Maf flows about 20% more air, and the 550cc flows 20% more fuel.
