ok so i currently have a 2 1/2" downpipe, but i want to know if its worth buying a dumpipe and just have it vent to the atmosphere. I'm new to exhaust work on dsm's i never got the chance to do anything on the 2nd gen i had that i regret i had to sell. Someone please just give me some advice so i can order something worth my while. Thanks dsmer's!:talon:

If you have a internally gated turbo with a dump pipe, its extremely loud. When I installed mine I didn't notice much of a gain. Although I am still on the stock turbo. My recomendation is buy a external wastegate, and then vent it. This way sounds much better and more accurate boost control.

yes I have to agree with 4g63tsiawd. People buy the o2 housings with dump to battle boost creap and still lose the battle. I would say if you are planing to go to a bigger turbo go with an external dump because they have better boost control and are alittle better on your ear drums.
