O2 Housing Question

From what I understand, most bolt-on 3" exhaust systems that include a downpipe will have the piping slightly smaller at the o2 housing, and/or be notched to clear the downpipe-to-o2 housing bolts. If it's bolt-on, you shouldn't need to buy anything else to get it to fit, unless it specifies.

I also have the megan exhaust. You don't need an o2 housing. However, it would be nice to get a tubular o2 housing. Either recirculated or atmospheric dump. Your choice. This may help with boost creep that you will or might get. Besides, you won't have to mess with the exhaust again for a some time. Its best to do everything at once, unless money is a factor.

I have a straight through 3 inch catless exhaust with the stock O2 housing and 2.5 inch downpipe.

The only issues now is that the lack of back pressure on the stock 14b and wastegate is essentially overflowing the wastegate. I'm hitting about 18psi without any other mods.

SO, I'm making up for it with more fuel. But if you don't want to do that I suggest porting your wastegate and/or getting a larger O2 housing. OR if you have some extra cash, switch to an external wastegate.I haven't tried JUST the O2 housing (like I said I'm going with more fuel and keeping the boost). I've ran into this problem a few times with my buddies Subarus.

Either way you go let us know how it ends up! :thumb:
