Why does this O2 housing have that extra pipe coming out of it because this one doesn't?

I'd like to know because my initial setup, is to get: (when i get a DSM which will be VERY soon and im only trying for about 300hp or under becuase its going to be a daily driver)
EVO III Big 16g
190 lph
550cc or 650cc injectors
2G or EVO III Exhaust manifold
3" exhaust (dont know which, suggestions would be appreciated)
3" downpipe
APEX'i AFC

Is that OK?
What else would I need? I've got a fair budget to work with and a steady income
thanks

the first one is an external dump and the second one routes back into the exhaust like stock. the external dump is loud, and is supposed to help with boost creep. you setup looks good, maybe a good clutch setup. any 3in exhaust will be fine, you could even go 2.5 if you wanted. you may also want to get a data logger or equivalent to see whats going on with your engine. good luck

The first one is an external dump for the wastegate. You wouldn't want one as a DD I don't think, but people have different tastes. It'll make your car louder as the wastegate gasses don't go back into the downpipe. As for what else you'd need, you don't even say what car you have/plan to get. I would assume a 1g by the 2g manifold you list, but who knows. Update your profile. Get a custom exhaust made since its cheaper, and stick with a 2g manifold. They're cheaper, and will be plenty for what you want, just port it out. Get an intake, intercooler, and some pipes, and you're probably set. Maybe a 2g o2 sensor housing as it flows better than a 1g (if thats what you have...).

yeah, im most likely going to get a DSMLink and an ACT 2100 clutch, but, would an O2 housing with the dumptube be a necesity? because im not sure if i'd want to pay for a turbo bakc exhaust. I was just thinking of replacing the O2 housing and getting a Bushcur 3" exhaust and a new O2 Housing. thanks for the fast response:thumb: :D
and by the way, im shooting for a 1G

Here is a picture of where that piece would bolt to on the turbo charger housing. The smaller portion in the middle with the disk like valve is the wastegate and is what that extra tube is for.

I noticed that when I installed the open dump, my boost stopped spiking. Also, it sounds alot different (extremely loud)
