Currently I have a stock 1990 Talon TSi awd. I have a Walbro 155 fuel pump, boost gauge, and homemade boost controller, that I am going to install tomorrow. I dont want to buy complete new exhaust, so coudl I just use a O2 dump instead? How are they flanged to bolt up to the downpipe? Im just trying to make the stupid car fast as cheaply as possible :thumb:

it will work with you stock exhaust. they are very load thou. kind sounds like a helicopter taking off or something

Yah I really dont care how loud it is or how it sounds. Its only loud under boost and I can live with that. Anybody have a dump they recommend? I heard good things about the Punishment racing dump. Looks like a good price too.

I recommend doing this. I had this setup for a while, and I loved it! LOL. The reactions you get from people are pricless, and you can't beat the boost in performance! :thumb: Whichever one you get, make sure it goes all the way down past everything so stuff doesn't get messed up (alternator, fan, oil filter, etc.). Good luck! :)

Im thinking of just ordering hte flanges from RRE and making my own. Anybody have pics of where they routted the dump to? Ive seen one guy routte his out the side of his front bumper, but I think that would attract more attention then I want.

I havent found that exhaust that really suits my goals yet, so I have my punishment dump (about 8 months old from my old talon) on it. Will definitely help the stock exhaust suck less.

I've got a o2 dump on my stock exhaust. I'm pushing 16 psi with the T25, and it was boost creeping real bad. The o2 dump really helped control that. It's extremely loud, but only under boost so it is easy to live with.

Another bang-for-buck option would be an exhaust cut-out.
I've run an o2 dump on stock exhaust and it does help. However, when I ran open downpipe (for 10 min) there was a much bigger increase in power / decrease in spool up than just the o2 dump.

Similar logic: o2 loud when needed, under boost. Cut-out loud when needed, cut-out open.
Both quiet in everyday driving, price range is similar. Good luck. :talon:

I would recommend the Victory Performance 2.5" ported o2 housing w/ dump. My friend had it, and the installation was very straightforward and problem-free. It doesnt interfere with your fans or anything, and it was fabricated very cleanly.

Just an FYI - on any dump that is too short and would route the air on something you don't want- go to your Autozone or Napa or wherever and get the $6 flex pipe- and clamp it on.

It may rust out eventually, but it's $6 and then you can route it away.
