not the everyday average motor swap???

ok not sure where to post this but here it goes.

I own a 02 with 2.4 that i would like to swap the motor into my suzuki samurai

anyways I just have a few questions.
is there any trans other then the FWD that will bolt up?
has anyone hacked the harness into a "stand alone"
the swap will need to be cali smog legal so speed sensors all emission control will need to be present and work.

are they any build logs of similar interest i might look at?

i dont know if there is a trans that will bolt up perfectly. might look into some starion or mighty max transmissions, could modify it too fit.

what do you mean by "stand alone"? as in, modular? i dont see why you couldnt just take the harness and computer out with the engine. could delete whatever circuits you dont need.

i dont know off hand of any other builds that relate with this. but you should be able to maintain all emissions equipment. the biggest problem to overcome would be intake manifold direction, ### that will play hell with your egr.
