My car has been sitting in my garage for a while, and I tried to turn it on with no luck. I'm hearing a clicking sound when turning the key, but that's it. I thought it was the starter, so I looked up how to replace it and was able to get a new one installed. I also thought it was the battery, so I had it replaced. I'm having the same issue. Here's a video of what I'm seeing. Thanks for the help.

Battery reading 12v
New starter, New battery.
The alarm system is working fine, locking and unlocking doors.

Hmm sounds like something very small and simple.

I would verify all of your grounds, battery connections first. I had a similar issue, found out I was only getting 8v or so to the fuse box, because a battery connection wasnt sitting flat/seated.

You can also verify if you are getting a 12v signal to the started signal wire with the key activated.
Should be 12v constant at the main starter wire.

hope that helps.

digital ohm/voltage testers are key!! Just got the best one Oreillys has for $50, you can get a good one for $30 or so

Some good info here. Use search tools my friend ;)

Strange that you can hear the click but nothing happens. Have you tried swapping the relay around with a good known one? you will for sure want to check voltage to the signal wire and go backwards from there. I think you'll find it quick
Yeah, I saw someone else tried that, and it worked. It didn't work for me. I'm going to do some testing when I get some time. I'm busy doing the body work right now. Once I get that done, I'm going to switch to getting the car running to get it to get paided.
