I'm in the market for a new exhaust since the shop I had bend mine didn't do as well a job as I wanted it to be. I had 2.25in. pipe and it was pressbent so definetely looking to upgrade that. Anyways I've been searching for some time on loud ass exhausts and havn't come up with anything for the n/a cars.

Any recomendations on exhausts that are annoyingly loud, I know 2.5in piping will help along with the test pipe and 4-2-1 headers sitting in my closet. I've been waiting to isntall them but now I just want a new catback all together. Just looking for some feedback. Don't ask why I love loud exhausts it's just my thing, might as well bark if I have no bite :rocks:

But yeah, APEX'i N1? Anything else that would be louder? Thanks for any info and sorry for the noob question, no reviews for exhausts on us naturally aspirated guys.

We're more about performance here.. if you want loud just remove your cat for a race pipe.

well i got a test pipe but it's not installed. I gotta buy a whole new exhaust anyways since my pressbent ehxaust is restricting air flow which concerns performance. But thanks, I was just trying to kill two birds with one stone.

You are aware that a loud high flow exhaust will do you more harm than good? Sure it will be loud and sound cool but you'll be like the kid on my street with a wing on his Mazda hatch back and the black paint carbon fiber hood. Because you have and in line motor with no opposition, it requires a certian leve of backpressure to make power, take that away and you are going to loose power. Just a bit of heads up before you add you bark with no bite.

heres the link for 2.5 MONZA my friend used it on one of his cars and it was loud with a low rumble with the cat still there, also like the guy before me said you will still need backpressure and this has enough flow to add HP but not too much for a light modded engine.

Im not sure what you guys have heard about the N1 but Ive heard nothing but good stuff about it. The member who posted this mentioned something about the N1 exhaust and sounds like he is'nt for it. My opinion, go with the N1...flat out. :dsm:

Hey TotalEclipse112 would you say 2.5in is too large a diameter for a N/A car? A lot of people choose either 2.25 or 2.5 and they say never go above 2.5 if you're a non-turbo, but I don't have any calculations on what the differences would be between the two.

1gen thanks for the link to that exhaust, the muffler isn't really my style though, I'll probably end up with the APEX'i N1 exhaust, definetely can't go wrong with that. Don't have a heavily modified car to go with thermal, not to mention I've never heard a thing about thermal's for the 420a's. So who knows...thanks for the replies.

You could probally get away with the 2.5 but I wouldn't go any bigger, I know this one from experince. I had the 3 inch tanabe racing medallion on my 96 N/T and yeah it looked and sounded cool to the untrained person who knew nothing about cars but those who were in the know were lauging at me. Plus with that little back pressure the cars torque curve was no existant and off the line it just about fell flat on its face. Stay with the 2.5 it will sound nice and you will get a performance boost out of it.
