Ok, so I'm having problems figuring out what could be wrong. My front passenger side wheel is making a horrible knocking sound when I go over a bump or when I go forward then reverse. I've taken both wheels off the front and all the suspension looks to be pretty clean. (meaning no oil on the shocks or brake calipers. ) So I got under the car and am thinking that the rack and pinion is leaking... lots of grease covering the bottom. The tranny looked pretty clean and I don't have issues with going into gears at all. I'm also getting a kind of front-and-back motion with the wheel as well. (at least that's what it feels like while in the car)
Let me know what any of you think, ask questions and maybe we can get to the bottom of this.

condeming bad suspension parts by how clean they are is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
