well it was running fine all day then it flashed when i was waiting on the turbo timer to kick off... the motor only had 8 maybe 9 k miles on it :(
 
it flashed the 1.7 on the knock side of the scanner when the car was shut off. the turbo timer kept the car on and the 1.7 went away then the car shut off totaly and the 1.7 flashed back as it shut down but the scannmaster shows it every time its first turnning on and when it shuts off now...

p.s. u scared the hell out of me!
 
I'd be more concerned if it was knocking under boost not at idle. So long as you're using high octane fuel, you shouldn't be knocking at idle. If you ARE, then you're probably never seeing boost, then you have problems. Worry about knock when you're WOT due to lean/rich conditions or timing being too far out. That's the kind of knock that can kill your engine.
