after installing a new clutch on my car. I go to start the thing and no start.. it wont even crank over. I tried jumping the car but still no start so its not the battery...

I noticed that the oil pressure sensor wires had been broken in the process of the clutch install.. could it be that? or the starter?? any input would be nice.. I don't know what to do...

Since it wont crank over, its most likely the starter...

Did you disconnect the battery before working on the car to make sure you didnt short anything?

Unless you hooked up the flywheel wrong somehow..

I did connect the battery to the car half way in the install because I couldn't finish the job on one day and I left my windows down so I tried to give the car power to roll up the windows.. did I short something out?

Right now im getting lights in the interior and I can hear the fuel pump turn on when I turn the key but nothing in the engine...

Check all the fuses in the box, if all you did was roll up the windows, i doubt you shorted something but you never know. Check the Ignition fuse

Have you tried bypassing the starter? Like tap the battery with a wire to the starter while having the key on START.

Yes, check ALL fuses. I can't even begin to tell you how many times this is the problem.

I will try. thanks so much.. DSM_PWR and joyfil2001.. I will report back tomorrow..

Did you disconnect the positive side? If you did, make sure you have all of the extra wires connected with the second jam nut.

there are two wires that hook up to the starter. A big one and a small one. The big one goes strait to the battery. The small, if you trace the big wire you will find it comes out of that loom the big one is in. Out of that loom there will be 1 black connector that connects to the main harness, if thats not connected the car wont crank over. Possible it got disconnected during the clutch install.
