So after recently upgrading my fuel system and ecu my car simply will not start. I put a wally 255 in and did it correctly. I can hear the pump turn on and i am getting 25 psi at my fuel regulator. I know i need to be at 43 psi but i have adjusted the thing as much as i can and still nothing. I also installed injectors and ecu. The ecu came with a wire to attach to the clutch position sensor and i correctly installed that as well. Any help would be great

Was it a standard ecu or did you get dsm link or something like that. You need to work on getting the fuel pressure correct first off.

I adjusted my regulator and now i am at 43 psi. I tried the old chip but still not a chance its gonna start. I got a chip from Jeff at Dsmchips.com and it just struggles to start every time. Its so close everytime but still nothing. Any other ideas guys?

How are you trimming the bigger injectors? You haven't really said what kind of ECU you are running.

If you just put 750's in a car without any way to adjust injector timing, it will not run. The AFR will be like 9:1. I tried it in my car for S&G.

After trying to start it, do you smell gas? if so, then you should be getting enough fuel.

The same thing happend to me. I upgraded injectors and when I went to start, it wouldn't start. I thought it was the injectors, but after I put the old ones back in, same problem. Tried changing ecu's, no luck. Everytime I tried, I could smell the gas. Took it to a shop. and it turned out it was the cam sensor that had gone bad.

Also just to confirm, you tried it with the new chip, and with the old chip and no luck on either chip? do you have a spare ECU?

Also did Jeff know that you where going to run 750's?

David.

Ya i wish i had a spare ecu to use just in case thats what it is. Ya I can smell fuel from the engine and exhaust so i know its getting fuel.

Ya i told jef everything i was running. I think i might have him burn me another chip to see if that is what it is. But you would think the stock chip would work at least to start it.

Def sounds like a fuel issue, but getting a stock ecu in there to see if something went a little off on the chipping sounds like the best place to start. Did you unhook any grounds anywere? I have done that and it wouldnt start for anything. Could be something as simple as that too. G/L!!

Ya when i put my ecu back in it came with a wire to splice into the clutch position sensor. I wired it in correctly according to the diagrams. You think that might have anything to do with it? I just replaced my spark plugs and it was definitely a lot closer to starting with the stock chip in.

Just a suggestion, But did you by any chance unplug your coolant temp sensor? Thats exactly what happens when you forget to plug it in.

Ya when i unplugged the clutch position sensor i unplugged one other sensor so i could have some extra space to splice that wire. It was a pretty big connector and it was right by the clutch pedal. Is that where the coolant sensor is?
