The problem started whe I went to pick up some parts I come out to the car and it wont start. I check my inline fuse (rewired fuel pump) and the fuse is blown and the connector is burned on the battery side. I replace the fuse holder and fuse(crimped them) and drove home.
When I got home the car died. I soldered the connectors and trid to start the car. It wont start. Turns over but wont start. I have fuel, I have spark, a good ECU (checked with another known good ECU) still nothing. For the heck of it I pull the fuse and try and start the car the car starts run for a little then dies. So I put the fuse back in try and start it, it wont start I pull the fuse out and start the car...it fires up so I put the fuse inline and let it idle if I try and give it a little gas it sputteres then dies. I need help I checked power at the relay with fuse in and the car turning over and I have power (12v). Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Well the car just started running fine. So I drove it around the block and and no problems. I let the car sit overnight. I went this morning to see if the problem returned and it had. Can anyone give a suggestion.

I think I figured it out. I had a code for coolant temp sensor. But my check engine light wasnt on. I hooked the car up to a scanner and and the temp was -47. I found the sensor wire was broken at the connector. I fixed the wire no code and no problems. So we'll see tomorrow if that solved this problem.

the coolant temp sensor wire could be the root cause. if the connector is open or shorted it throw the ecu into fail safe mode and will cause the car to run extremely rich.

Well the car is running better than ever. Started up and idles perfect (had a high idle issue). I think broken sensor wire was the cause of all the problems. When I was testing everything the plugs were a little wet. I thought it might have been a leaky injector but for all the injectors to go at once would be freaky weird. I think the -47 temp pretty much confirms the cars was pouring fuel on start up flooding the cylinders and explains why it was starting with out the fuel pump on.
