No start after new motor.

Checked the wiring. The yellow/black wire coming from the negative terminal is grounded to the tranny. It is also grounded at the other end to the firewall. The positive wire goes to the solenoid terminal and the clip is on as well. I hooked all the wires up but left it hanging out to see if it would bump out or spin. It did neither. There is an extra clip coming from the positive terminal wiring loom and an extra clip on the drivers side. They do not go to each other. Is that clip on the positive terminal necessary for starting? where does it go?

Are the battery terminals tight? Is the battery fully charged? Try tapping on the starter with a long pry bar to see if the starter is bad.

The battery is brand spanking new and I made sure to tighten the connections with a ratchet. Sorry, its gonna be until tomorrow til I can get those pics...stormed like crazy all afternoon and still is some.

Test voltage at the "S" terminal on the starter.

To test, disconnect the small wire from the "S" terminal at the starter. Connect voltmeter to the wire and to ground to test for 12vdc. When the ignition key is activated, 12v should register on the meter. If not, troubleshoot the starter relay, then the ignition switch.

If you get 12v, then the signal is reaching the starter. Test for proper voltage reaching the starter "B" terminal, and then have the starter bench tested if you haven't already.

You might actually want to do the bench test before anything else. The majority of no-start issues are due to a problem with the starter itself.

Alright, sorry its been so long to catch up with this. Trig, Chem, and work own my ass. Haven't been able to touch it until this afternoon after track practice. I checked the wiring again. I'm not getting voltage at the clip....because its not plugged in where it needs to go >_<. I didn't realize that was the end for the starter until I opened the loom. Where does it go? I also got another misc. wire from the driver's side that I pulled to the pass side thinking these two wires went together. that I don't know where it goes.

Well work was twice as long as expected today but I did get time to fiddle with it. I did figure out where the starter wire goes. But the bi*** still won't crank! Maybe the alternator fuse? That's the last thing I can think of....
