Hey hows it going.

My car cranks but won't start. it's a 95 gst with a 6 bolt swap. the car ran and started fine a month ago but it sat for a ccouple of weeks and now it will only turn over. i have checked the coolant temp sensor and thats okay. But when i went and checked each C.O.P (coil on plug) i got nothing out of them I was wondering why my car is getting no spark at all:(. I am wondering what would make this happen and what i can do to fix it.
Thanks for any help i can get

Man there are many things. I'm in here trying to figure out mine as well. I only get spark from spark wires 2 and 3. Something is causing spark 1 and 4 to go to 2 and 3. Spark 2 and 3 is shooting when 1 and 4 is suppose to shoot.

From reading in here, there are a list of things to check. Your coil, power transistor, cam angle sensor, crank sensor, and ecu.

OP - have you gone back to make sure all of your connections are tight and secure? and since you say it was fine until it sat for a month, have you checked the voltage of the battery?

all the connections are tight and i just had the bettery charged by advance so its completly charged.-beyondspexj

thanx i will check the sensors.

well working on the car yesterday. we decided to check the power transistor. turns out that my transistor is bad ($105 part). So i will be replacing that and hope that it fixes the problem.

whitetal- that might be your problem if your only getting spark in 2 and 3. because you have to test it to see if you have continuity, if you have the hanes manuel it will tell you how to check it (5-7). you have to use a 1.5v AAbattery with paper clips taped on each end and put them on terminals 3 and 7 then put an ohmmeter terminals 3 and 8. that is the best way to test (and having a second person to hold the clips on the transistor.) hope that helps. good luck

Just got the part in today after the power transistor and cleaning the plugs the car fired right up no problem thank yall for the great ideas. hope this post will help anyone with the same problem

There's been a lot of threads about the spark and checking the transistor and coil. So that helped you out. I figured out mine already. What happened was that I put the CAS in backwards. This usually wouldn't have happened, but since I had to rebuild a head, I had to assembly everything together. Usually you wouldn't have to even deal with taking the CAS out.
