Alright, my 95 GST is starting to throw me a few curveballs here. When i am driving i cant get any power from the turbo. The stock boost guage is still reading pressure, but there is no power. I looked over the connections on all my hard piping and i cant see any noticable leaks (just tightned them 2 weeks ago). The turbo does spool and create pressure somewhere, but its not feeding into the intake. When im driving i can hear movement of air, it just sounds like its not building. I have a Type RS and it is recirculated, the setting is set to where it needs to be. Basically i cant really think of how this is happening, i mean the BOV could be leaking but its brand new and it just doesnt make sense to me. Any help or ideas would be excellent thanks.

Well, first things first. Mare SURE there are no leaks by usings a boost leak test. When i thought i had no leaks i found that i was wrong. This will eliminate the possibillity of leaks anywhere, including your bov.

Since your gonna have to take your intake off, you might as well check you turbo for play to see if its on its last leg.

Does your car seem to studder/miss at all. Is there a chance that your timing is getting pulled?

OK, well i will have to do a boost leak test, umm yea i didnt notice any misfiring so i think the timing is good. Ok another question, i was venting for awhile before i got the recirculation kit and i was leaking boost once and i hit fuel cut. Now because im recirculating is that why im not hitting fuel cut? Because if thats the case then i can take the re-circ tube off and see if it hits fuel cut for a boost leak.. right? And if im taking my intake off im checking for play in what, the cold wheel? Or just take the turbo off and check it out? Thanks for the response~

if the only thing you changed was the recirc kit, your bov is leaking, send it back and get a new one.

Check the work on the intercooler pipes- again. That is an ideal spot for boost leaks.
Other members have said that the BOV could be leaking. That is a possibility.
Send me a PM ill come by and check your set-up out. Im in milwaukee as well.

The stock boost gauge doesnt show real pressure, it's an assumption based on ecu calculations, so you might not be building any boost. Do the boost leak test, and make sure the wastegate actuator arm didn't come off. If that doesn't do it then check the turbo. A clogged catalytic converter can also prevent boost from building.

Please, I beg of you, buy an actual boost gauge. Without one, you're throwing darts blindfolded.

Do you have a pipe for the lower IC pipe, or the rubber one? I'd suspect that just for the simple fact that it is the least checked.
