Now I've got to get some tuning help. I have a half ass tune, but doing a third gear pull at 5k I loose all power. It pulls hard as hell to 5k then nothing all the way to redline. I would post a log but I can't figure out how to put the graph from ECU+ on here. Here's what I got though:

My AFR's are 10.5-11.3 from 2500-5k then they lean out 11.5-12
Timing: 2k-4400 about +15 by 5k +2 and bottoming out -1 at 5300 and steady +2 to redline
Knock volt: I get a spike in knock at 4250 and 4500 1.9 then less than 1 to redline


Can anyone figure this out?
 
More info will help. What are you tuning with? You should never go past 11.5:1 in my opinion on ANY gas.
Have you done a boost leak test?
Any logs?

This is kind of a hard subject to help with without some kind of log and more info.
 
Your timing and power are dropping because you are running lean as hell above 4.5k or so and knocking, and the ECU is pulling timing like mad while trying to save your motor.

How much boost are you running? What are your IDC's? How much air are you flowing?

With the limited data we have, my guess is that you are running out of fuel due to maxing the injectors, or maybe you have fuel pressure issues. Turn the boost down and make another pull, and see if your AFR's even out.

Try to get your AFR's around 10.5 to 11.0 with no knock or pulled timing, and then slowly go a little more lean if you can.
 
hey guys hate to but in but i am having issues with 97 talon non turbo with hahn racecraft turbo kit everything was fine intil yesterday i have boost but i get power loss what can i do
 
My IDC is 80% at redline

I was told that I was safe having AFR11-11.5 with the methanol. Is that wrong?


MAS output 1675 at 5k and 2042 at redline
MAS in 1731 at 5k and 2140 redline

I wish I could figure out how to upload the logs but I can only get it to an excel file.

OP - Hard to say without a complete log. I would still drop the boost and see what happens to your AFR and timing above 4.5k on the lower airflow.

What mix and how much meth are you running?
 
I am running straight Meth. It is at full spray at 20PSI which I am seeing around 3.5-4k.

Do those timing maps look right?

I am not a certified tuner by any stretch I am learning. I don't want to blow my engine. I guess I need to be patient and get someone to come by and help me.

I am going to try lowering the boost and go from there.
