No power...help!!!

Hi all,

I get up this morning to go to work, and my Talon won't start. I turned the key on, and the seat belts moved, and my gauges lit up, but when I turned the key to start it, everything cut out. It's like my battery is dead, but I just put a brand new battery in 2 days ago, along with brand new terminals. I drove home last night and everything was fine. I hooked up my Jump Starter to it, and still nothing. Right now there no power at all, not even the dome light. Any ideas?

Check your grounds from the battery to the chassis.

im gonna go with ground cable too.

I was in your same predicament 2 years ago when i got a BRAND NEW battery. An optima if i do recall correctly. I returned it and got a new battery and still nothing. Sooooooo i called the tow truck went to Mitsu and they got it out in 30min. Didnt even charge me anything, but thats probly cause im there all the time for timing belts and head refurbishings/rebuilds.

I thought about doing that, but I had to hurry up and get to work. Co-worker picked me up, so I'll have to check it out when I get home tonight. I just thought I'd post something here to see what could be wrong, and try to get an idea of what I need to look for. This is the first DSM I've owned, so I'm not quite up to par on everything with them. But, since I just had the joy of replacing flywheel, tranny, and motor mounts, I'm starting to get to know them.

You guys are great. It turns out that my ground cable running from the battery to the firewall had a bad connection. So, I wire brushed around the hole in the firewall, and everything lit up. Of course this was after I checked all of the fuses and other ground straps. Anyways, thanks a lot!!!
