will not having your exhaust on affect your readings on your O2 voltage due to the heat and the atmospheric oxygen it is getting?

Just wondering cuz this MAFT i'm trying to tune out with no exhaust (in the mail) it seems a bit difficult. Getting really low O2 voltages at idle .01-.03v
