I just replaced the ecu in my 92 talon 4g63nt (bad caps). Ever since my cel doesn't come on. I swapped the bulb with a new one and still no cel. Its my fiance's car and it bothers her, and they're also good to have. Any help would be great.

sorry, i'm extremely tired. Thats what i meant by my post. when i turn the key to the on position all of my other lights come on gauges move. the car starts and runs perfect. Just no CEL. The CEL worked before the ecu failed. I know it worked ### it got on my nerves. it would come on and go off after about 20seconds every so often while driving. later found out that was a sign of a dying ecu(after the fact).

Write down radio stations (to put back in when done). With battery disconnected unplug ECU. Reconnect battery, turn key to on, and test wire harness pin 64 to see if you have +12V. If not, you have wiring/fuse problem. If so you can ground this pin and CEL should light. If it does you have ECU problem since it should have turned light on. Also check to make sure that pin "locks" in place in connector.
When done, with battery disconnected plug in ECU. Reconnect battery.
ECU pinout: 1G ECU Pinouts

Thanks... will check as soon as the weather clears up. its raining/ice and its hovering about 33* here. Will post back with results. Later

I have the same issue, I hooked up my tach noise filter and grounded it on the intake manifold since I currently don't have the intake manifold support bracket on the car, which is where the tach noise filter normally bolts up. It ran for about 3 seconds and died, now I have no spark and when I crank the tach doesn't move like it did when I first started it up. There is no CEL while I have the key in the ON position or when I crank. I checked pin 64, I'm getting around 12.4v, I also grounded it an no CEL. Since I had the ECU out I took a look inside and couldn't see anything wrong but that doesn't mean much. I've tried another CAS and no luck. Why else may I not be getting spark? Bad coil pack? Bad power transistor? Anything else?
