I have a question, anyone here with big cams have brake issues? i can NOT muster up enough vacuum to run the booster, i did check for vac leaks the lazy man's way. Got a can of carb cleaner and sprayed on the hoses and see if engine speeds up (did find a leak on tb elbow this way). Anyone try usings like a vac pump or anthing? an suggestions would be great. My seat back can't take much more of this.

P.S. it DOES have brakes if i rev in neutral so its not the booster

in the line from intake to booster? know if its in the middle or by booster?

Comp cams makes a vaccum reserve cansister....to give you enough vaccum for your braking.

Black is part number 5200
Polished is 5201

What kind of vacuum do you see at idle?

No vacuum gauge but its low. the car as long as the rpm is up has plenty of vacuum to run brakes. (except when under boost)

If your brake booster is good, all you need is a checkvalve inbetween your vacuum source and the booster. That will keep boost out of it, and as soon as you let off the throttle, you'll have brakes.
