I have a 90 gsx. All stock, except i have 550's, wally 190 pump, and a 2g mass. If im driving and try to spool the turbo the car will studder and it feels like its retarding timing. I thought with these mod's the car should even out and run decent. any insight?

timing is good, it ran decent before putting the 2g mas in. Ill do a BLT again tonight

If the only thing you changed was the MAS, I'd start there as the culprit. Maybe the 2G MAS is bad, the connector isn't wired correctly or fully connected, maybe there's a leak at the intake tube, etc.

If you installed the 2G MAS without compensating for the increased airflow, you're probably running lean which could cause the problems you're experiencing. If that's the case, you'll need to add the appropriate amount of fuel to compensate for the extra air entering the engine. Many people have had good luck running 550cc injectors with the 2G MAS. I would also suggest some sort of fuel tuning device like SAFC2 as a minimum or ECMLink if you've got the cash. Of course, you'll also need a wideband O2 to accurately monitor your air-fuel ratios as you adjust the mixture. And without some way of monitoring knock, you're tuning 'half blind'.

Try reconnecting the stock MAS that you replaced and see if it runs better and go from there.

Check the gap on your spark plugs and what kind of plugs are you running?
