Hi everyone, I have a 16g with a dsmlink and this is what is happening. Sometimes (20% of the time) when I put the petal to the floor at 2.5k rpm it will accelerate to about 3.5k and feel weird because there is no boost and it will just bog horribly at that point. Other times (60% of the time) it will work fine, and the other 20% it will work fine, until around 6k or so it will fuel cut because it kind of feels like I hit a brick wall a couple times real quick in a row. Any ideas what would be causing this? I'm not sure if these are two seperate issues or the same thing, the fuel cut has been happening for a bit longer. Maybe it's a broken wastegate actuator?

Did you do a boost leak check? If not you need to do that I had that same problem you have and you can look up how to make a tester gauge or you can go on the classifieds here and buy a pre made one for pretty cheap. Let us know how that goes first, also use a spray bottle of soapy water on all the fittings if you don't hear the hissing air just to make sure.

Thats all the advice I have it worked for me but I did try bypassing the boost controller just straight to the wastegate before I tried the boost leak test so maybe try that too.

EDIT: ^^^Got beat to it^^^

Thanks for the quick reply guys. I'll try bypassing the manual boost controller first, see how that goes then I'll test for boost leaks. Will the boost leaks make the turbo not spool up sometimes or are the boost leaks only causing the fuel cut issue?

Its a boost leak 100%

I had the same problem when I swaped out my 2g BOV for a 1g, It blow off my piping at the outlet of my SMIC alittle, with low boost on the 2g BOV was fine, as soon as 1g BOV went on and boosted more. It would spool at 2k and around 3k-3.5k i would bogg horribly , like fart and not go anywhere. It was so bad if i didnt have my foot on the gas it stalled. :p

Same thing happened with my 1g bov poping out of the 2g piping. Tie wraps solved that . :p
