2G No battery light/low voltage

So my car died the other day and I found some loose wires to the pigtail 4 pin harness that plugs into the alternator. I have checked the 100 amp fuse many times and have battery voltage across it. If my battery light is not coming on at all can this still be a bad alternator? I have fixed all the wires on the pigtail and the output voltage running is from 2-10 volts on the alternator. So for some reason, maybe voltage regulator or ecu? Will a bad alternator cause the battery light to stay off ? Thanks

Then check for fuse #8 at the cabin it might be bad, if fuse is good you need to check continuity from bulb outlet (Blue wire) to the alternator relay (Black/Yellow wire) then from alternator relay (black/yellow wire) to alternator (black/yellow wire).

Where do I find the blue wire for the bulb ? I checked and have contenuity to the alternator from relay ? Thanks

Ok I see 3 blue wires now ...

There are two blue wires that have connection with the blue wire at the relay but nothing on the black at the relay with the same blue

There is actually 4 blue wires behind the cluster

3 wires on the connection all the way to the left which 2 have connection with the blue wire at the alt relay. And one blue wire on the middle connection.

Check continuity from the bulb (cluster) to the end terminal where hoocks up the connector so you know which line is it, once you find it then check continuity to the relay.

I Checked all 4 bl ue and none have contenuity

You have to find the wire, so check continuity from the bulb to the end of the terminal where meet the connector, that's the only way to make sure you have the right wire.

I have no contenuity to the blue wire. I installed a new alternator and its holding 15.2 volts. A little high but oh well. Rather be high then low. Lol, I'm still missing a lot of dash lights at key on and yes the 10 amp fuse is good. Checked with multimeter.

You will end up burning the battery or frying something in the car with that high voltage,.

The voltage regulator is brand new

Did they tested when you bought it?,, auto parts is the worst place to get an alternator,,.

Take it to test it it shouldn't be charging over 14,5.

Yes it tested good but maybe I should try another one. Anyone have a harness picture of the four colors on the alternator pigtail. Some of my wires are different colors then ones I find online. Thanks.

I still have no battery lamp and if I unplug my generator relay its still is charging at 15 volts. Thanks for all the help Miguel.

Alt tested good... I unplugged my 4 wire plug to alternator and the alternator is still putting out 15 volts. Is this normal?

I got the car charging at 14.1 to 14.4 now. I changed the wires around on the generator relay and it fixed the overcharging problem. Still missing lamp lights. There are 3 wires that have contenuity to the bulb on the cluster.

That's the two wires on the harness all the way to the left of the cluster.
