Ok,
i just rebuilt a 6-bolt and i am swapping it into my 2g, i was using bpr7's on my last engine wich is basically stock.

This is my engine now:
1g 6-bolt block, removed B/S, 1g rods w/ 2g pistons, clevite bearings, new pumps etc.
14b turbo @16psi with a 255lph fuel pump, all bolt ons related to air(exhasut intake UICP etc.)

Should i go with bpr7's or bpr6's? why?

Thanks

If the 7's were working well in your old setup (good cold starts, ran fine, no knock) use those. They're a step colder which is desirable for modded DSMs (prevents preignition by running a bit cooler).

it doesnt really make a difference, the 7s are more expensive and will probably last longer. i think theyre made for colder conditions so running high boost u would want the 7s, but at 16 psi u would be fine with the 6s.

ok still undecided, uhm well i really don't know the difference of how the car worked since i changed them the second day i had it. I live in puerto rico so the weather is always hot.

Anyways there are my mods i usually run 16-18psi on my 14b and that's about it, would using the bpr7's or 6's cause any performance downside??

Thanks!

In that case, use the 7's.

The only reason you'd want 6's is if you lived in a climate that got cold in the winter. 7's are a little harder to get the car started in the winter when it's cold, but in your case, it's a non-issue.

It can make a difference of another PSI or so you can run on the stock sidemount without knocking issues.
