I put new spark plugs in my car today, and I got the NGK 6ES, but one step colder....when I put them in, I also had reset the ecu, b/c of some problems I was having. I took the car out for a drive after idling a good 5-10 min. and it ran fine, except when I gave it gas, it would buck and miss like crazy.
After a few minits(sp) of driving, it got better and better. I did 2 logged runs, the first i was knocking at about 6 and my feul trims were at 120 high and 160 low. the second run, my knock was down at 0-1 and my feul trims were 100 across the board.
I am wondering if the bucking was the plugs, do they need higher cylinder temps to run right or was it my ecu relearning the parameters?
