I found my way over to the evo forums since I am in the market for a set of injectors.

SInce our cars have a lot in common what part off their cars can we use?

Feel free to add to the list or correct me if i'm wrong.

1. 560cc Injectors
2. exhaust manifold
3. Turbo :)
4. Steering wheel? :confused:
 
im pretty sure you cant use the steering wheel or the turbo. dont know about the injectors though. anyways, if your gonna upgrade why not go with something more worthwhile and cost effective?
 
i now for a fact that we can use the injectors. u can get the evo 560s for around $100-150 or u can get the denso 550s for $200. u tell me whats more cost effective.
 
I'm actually pretty sure you can use the turbos on some, because lots of peaple have the Evo 16g?
 
Rims will work for sure.

I don't want to make more guesses and get owned later :p
 
The turbo for the EVO we have is backwards in that the driverside has the intake housing and the passanger side has the exhaust housing. So it will not directly bolt in.
 
man all you newbies gotta learn to use the SEARCH function. This has been covered numerous times. The ONLY performance mods you can use from the EVO8 to a DSM is:
1. fuel pump (about the same as a Walbro 190lph)
2. injectors because they are top-feed
3. FMIC and FMIC is better than the SMIC in DSM

ALSO ONLY THE EVO 1-3 HAVE THE SAME ENGINE AS DSM. THE EVO 4-8 HAVE A COMPLETLY REDEISGNED 4G63 PRIMARILY TO MAKE IT MORE COMPETITIVE IN WRC!!!

$100 for four Evo 560s is a steal! Where can you get them? The DSM tuner product page (@Turbo Garage) has the Densos at ~$400 a set.

just go over to the evo forums and do a search in their for sale forum or put up a want to buy post. those guys are always looking to upgrade and get rid of the stock stuff :thumb:

hey all you guys. i was wonder if a turbo and mani off a newer evo setup would bolt straight up to a 4g63t 1g dsm.? thx guys.oil lines? heard sumthin about the turbo hitting sumthin idk . help me out. also was thinkin about runnin a new evo Fmic any1 kno how nice the flow, what psi rating they have or w\e.

no it is not worth the time and money you would have to spend to incorporate a evo8 turbo to a 1g. Just get a evo3 turbo its very nice for 550 new

Also the IC's are really not meant for over 300 awhp

I've heard of using the fuel pump and some other stuff but def not turbo/Intercooler... because you could better spend your money on something else... unless you got the IC for free or under 150 bucks and had a SMIC and just want to do 13's then that IC might be perfect for you
 
the pistons are a nice pickup too, my friend is gettin his rods machined to fit evo 8 pistons (which are 8:8 compression by the way.
 
I didn't think the evo8 pistons had the right pin height to be ran on big rods. Maybe you could take the center and cold side off of the evo8 16G and put it in your 14B turbine housing?

I bought an evo8 fmic for 100 shipped last month.

I dunno man, theres this jamaican guy out here running em on a 1g, and hes like "them evo8 pistons make me 20g spool at 2800 mon"

People have run 11's on the stock Evo Intercooler FYI. My car put down 335 whp on pump gas with stock IC and piping. So it will handle more then 13s and is a good budget IC IMO.

Nope, I already considered this. The exhaust wheels are different, not in terms of size, but relative to the direction of the inducer/exducer (think right handed vs. left handed). The EVO VIII exhaust wheel has to be used with an EVO VIII exhaust housing.
