I have a (new to me) 95GST. It blows smoke out the back everytime i shift and tops out at 80 mph. Does anyone have any ideas? I am not feeling any boost when the turbo hits. im so confused thanks for your time.

I forgot to check your vehicle profile, but do you have a boost gauge? Or can you see it hitting any kind of boost?

Do the essentials first.

Start with a boost leak test, or look for any obvious boost leaks somewhere. It sounds like you have a major boost leak somewhere.

If that's not the case, then when your car is cool, take the intake pipe off and feel inside the turbo for any shaftplay. If it's smoking white smoke and/or making a whining noise while you're on it, and it's not pushing any boost, I'd be your turbo is blown.

I'll second the turbo shaft-play check, especially if we're talking copious amounts of whitish gray smoke.
