newbie question about intakes

Hey guys im a newbie as far as when it comes to 97 eagle talon tsi's. i originally owned a 96 mx6 v6 until the engine blew and i put an intake in there to make it sounds good last summer. i was wondering if the tsi has a cold air intake and if someone cold send me some links. ive looked around and ive seen some topics on them but no pictures of the intake in a car. or even links. also what can i expect from this talon tsi? how much boost can it handle on stock internals, and just all that fun stuff. thanks to all who respond

With the stock turbo you can only push about 15psi off of it before it can't boost anymore.

There is no cold air intake for our cars like the other cars where the filter sits in the bumper real low. However, you can buy an intake like the one above which replaces the stock rubber one with a metal one. The intercooler takes care of the cold air part.

Didnt i see someone who had rigged up some sort of custom CAI on a turbo by using PVC pipes or something similar? I may be wrong. I dont believe that it really made a difference though.

Since your new i would get a whole new intake system (hard piping / K&N Filter) replace all the vacuum hoses, more or less the ones that come from the turbo and throttle bodt and intake manifold, i would then get an exhaust setup. complete that and u will be very happy.

u could always take out the head light for cold air
