ok... i'll try this again.

i DID search on this topic. and couldn't find out exactly what i wanted to know. "The only forum you may ask about venting your BOV (if you don't have an MAFT or standalone) is the Newbie forum." so now i'm posting here. I don't even know what a MAFT is.

What is the best intake not only for performance, but for sound as well. Right now i'm running a completely stock set-up. Eventually i'll be putting in a 14b. I want the turbo and BOV to sound loud. Which is better, recirculating or venting? What do i need to run each one affectively and efficiently? I'm probably going to get a greddy RS BOV.

In order to vent a BOV to the atmosphere, you need to eliminate the pre-turbo MAS system. You can do this by either getting a stand alone engine management system or converting to a post-turbo GM MAF. In order to do this, you will need a translator (known as a MAF-Translator, or MAF-T).

Any type of hard intake pipe would benefit performance. Get a 3".

Well, I don't know the 'best' but I can tell you what I have. I have an HKS SMF intake kit for my Eclipse... and that thing is LOUD! I used to have it with my stock 2gen bov and I could hear the intake sucking air in like a vacuum! It made my stock 2gen bov pretty loud too. Well, right now I have an HKS SSQV and wouldn't want anything else! I had it recirculated and it wasn't that loud but louder that my 2gen stocker. I have it vented into atmosphere, not the best thing to do, but it's LOUD! If you vent it outside you'll be running rich. If you're really bent on venting it you'll need that MAFT or some sort of engine management that'll convert you over to speed density. Running rich=not good. Everyone here'll tell you that. G'luck.
