Newbie and his new car revised

Well since I'm new to blogging I had to revise my blog. So let's start over. I bought a 96 GST with a blown turbo and possibly a bad head gasket. I started by ripping out the blown turbo wich has as much shaft play as a PAC man joy stick. I also took off the exhaust manifold to get ready for a new better head gasket. Also gonna put a new set of head studs by ARP. Replacing turbo with a td05 and using a header manifold in place of the stock manifold. I'll post the build as I progress currently on hold waiting on the studs and gasket to reach the shop. Anning on machining the head and block and possibly even get the rings redone. Planning on bigger injectors and a walboro fuel pump. Nothing finished and finalized yet. More news and hopefully pics soon

Studs and gasket are finally in ^_^ taking the gst to the shop tomorrow for a tear down and up build hopefully everything goes smoothly and not much work is needed I'll update tomorrow

Car has hit the shop today with everything except the stupid intake manifold gasket I misplaced the damn thing.

Thanks all I need are time and the cash gods to drop money on me l. The build starts Friday and I'm hoping the block doesn't need machining but if it does we will do it. After the build I'm working on looks and sound. More info as it comes

Shop started today and haven't herd anything but no news Is good news I guess hopefully everything is going smoothly

So they started the car and already problems. My intake valves on cylinder 1 are bad it's unknown if it's bent valves or just seated wrong but I'll know more as we progress

Looked decent yesterday valves are luckily just sitting wrong. The cams and everything else is fine head is fine and all so I'm pretty happy so far.

It's been a while since my last post due to iPhone issues but all good. Now I got good news and bad news. The good news is my car was started started today. The bad news is that after starting it ate up an intake valve and the spark plug in cylinder 1. :'( I dunno what to do now I'm out of money and I need my car it feels like this shop
don't know shit but hey I can't say nothing I'm the dumbo who took it there. And ideas for a new head? Doesn't seem like the piston is hurt but my head ain't in good shape says the "mechanic" so I guess

Looks to ne like this mech is takin too long I got the head to him yesterday and still hasn't even takin the other off but idk about this car anymore it's all been hell for me so far is there a light at the end?

Too late in the game for that I need a decently priced 6 bolt now that's my aim screw messin wit this 7 bolt too much headache

If I was you I would start reading and learning everything you can about DSMs you can! And start doing everything yourself, unless you are rich. (if thats the case you can bring it to me)
I don't know for sure but I would say most everyone that has a decient DSM did almost everything their selfs. Only thing I haven't done is the machine work, that dosen't mean I won't, just havent found the equiptment cheap enough to do it my self. All i am saying is that if you own 1 of these cars she will definately end up being your girlfriend, no matter if you already have a girlfriend already or not. And if you are paying someone else to do all the work I would think of it as being married to cause that is where all your money is going to go to. I personally don't think of mine as a daily driver I think of mine as more of a toy, don't get me wrong I will drive it for days and days in a row but it is definately not my daily driver.

Taking car back home mechanic screwed me bro so tearing down the car and rebuilding it myself like I shoulda done

Valve stuck sideways inside my piston so deciding in 6 bolt
swap with a 7 bolt head or keep my stock block any ideas

Pulled mid pipe dropping oil pan and starting motor tear down
