from vfaq
rim 17x8
wheel 235/45-17
offser +35mm
FWD/AWD
Tire will rub rear fender flange when the car is heavily loaded or using lowering springs. Can be corrected by rolling fender flange. These are my street rims

Thats what I was thinking just trying to decide might go with a smaller rim maybe 17s wheels i was looking at only came on a +20

Are you looking to stretch the tires a little and roll/pull your fenders? If so, then yes they will fit. If you don't plan to do any of the above, then no. I run an 18x9.5 +35 with a 255/35 tire. Fenders are rolled, that's about it. You can fit that wide with a meaty tire, just with a higher offset

18s are too big dude. Take my word for it. Go with 17s and you will like the ride quality AND the look of it way better and you dont have to do any serious mods. With 18s its much toughewr to lower the car too. Im no suspension guru, but i can see how my 18s and TEIN basics work out: Its cranked as high as it will go, any lower and i would have problems for sure. Also, the less unsprung weight you have the better. I know that for a fact.
When i finally get around to it, im going with evo 17s or maybe even gsx 16s. They both look great.

i was trying to have a nice stance to the car but ill give up a little look for quality ill keep digging and see what i can come up with now days u really cant be different since there so much out there

it comes down to what you want to do with the car, DD, Track, etc.

If it's a "Stanced" ride with the stretched, dished look, then yes the ones you're looking at will fit., you will need to roll the fronts, and do a slight pull/roll in the back.

DD, then go with a +35 offset, 16/17/18" really doesn't matter much but take into account how the roads are in your area, rough roads require more tire to lessen the chance of bending rims, and blowing tires.

Drag/ auto x then unsprung wheel weight is your nemesis. the lighter the rotating mass the less horsepower required to turn it.

I personally run a staggered set up, with Volk gt-7's in 19 x 8.5 with a 235/35/19 and 19 x 10.5 with a 265/30/19 . I had to do a Pull in the rear, and rolled the fronts....and yes staggered set up is fine on a AWD so long ad OD of the tires is within +/- 10 mm. and my tires are off of stock size by 1/4 ".

So figure out what ya want, and go from there.

roads here are awful but the eclipse is not my daily driver so but i appreciate the help im trying avoid rubbage and things of that nature but would like an aggresive look not going of the wall or anything
