Newb questions about a/t to m/t swap.

okay, i understand that this has been covered but i can't find it.( maybe searching under wrong words) Well i Found a 90TSi in a slavage yard. got the tranny,tcase, shifter, cables, and the pedals. i believe i need to get a 91-94 cables, bracket and shift assembly, i'm not ceratin and need to be certain so i can oder them along with all the other parts i need to complete the swap. along with that, what cv shafts do i get? Thanks ahead of time.

Your auto cv shafts will work i know that as well as the drive shaft but i don't know about the cables. i think you will need all the 91-94 stuff if my memory serves me correctly. Just don't hold me too it.

Edit i think you have to change the carrier bearing not sure but maybe.

Shifter Assembly, Shifter Boot, Shifter Cables, Cable Hold downs, Firewall Gasket, Brake and Clutch Pedal assembly, Clutch Master, Clutch Fluid Line, Clutch Assembly, Flywheel, Flywheel to Crankshaft bolts, Manual Transmission, Clutch Slave


Things that are the same.

Gas Pedal, Driveshafts, Bolt holes for shifter assembly
Bolt holes for Brake/Clutch assembly.

and AWD auto and manual have different gear ratios in the rear, Tcases and transmission, so that will need to be changed for sure
