I was coming home the other day an some joker reved so I raced him from a light and beat him to 3rd and pulled up. Later that nite when I was driving around I noticed a turbo squilling sound I thought I had blown off a intercooler pipe and I was leaking becasue I was boosting to only about 3 or 4 psi even at wot when I usually hit 14-15 on my manual boost controller. Next day my car was smoking bad and I thought I blew my turbo I did a compression test to check internals and got (left to right from battery)

165 157 165 150

and my car didn't seem to be turning over very strong on the last cylnder maybe my battery was getting low but either way I think those are pretty strong for a 1990 eclipse I did have some oil on the plugs but I do have 145k miles.

A dead turbo will not really affect the compression numbers you see when you test. I'd add some oil into the chamber and see if its your rings.

If you are worried about your turbo, check it for shaft play and oil in your IC pipes. Those are signs of a dead turbo.
