new turbo installed now what to expect? and how to take care of it?

I'm going to finish my EvoIII16G install today ( finish small stuff, tighten the new manifold down and change all fluids now) What fuse can i pull to turn the motor over without it starting? Also what will the spool time and rpm be compared to my t-25? What kind of break-in should i do, baby it for 500-1000 miles? low rpm's? no boosting? and laslty does the spool and blow off of this turbo sould different than the t-25? I will keep it at around 14-16 psi until my fuel mods and fmic come in within the next week.
 
Assuming it's similar for the 2G you can pull the MPI fuse at the positive terminal of the battery.
 
There is no need to break in a turbo. You pull the mpi fuse its the 20a fuse,and on the fuse cover it will say motor. You might have a problem keeping this turbo at 15psi if you did not do the proper porting this baby will creep. As far as the sound its quieter than the t-25 and you will see full boost at around 3200-3400.
 
so i dont need to baby it at all just drive it normal like i would with the t-25 with a few high speed pulls here and there:D ? i thought you had to be easy on them for a short period.
 
No break in is needed.
However, be sure that you prime the turbo. This is a very important step that should not be overlooked.

Also, as mentioned above, you should keep a careful eye on your boost gauge, as these turbos will creep, and get a logger to see if you are knocking. (You already have a logger by now, right?)
 
no logger yet i do have a palm m100 or 105 i just need the software, im waiting on my safc2, injectors, pump, and fmic to come in. what kind of cable to i need for my palm to hook to my car? and yes im going to prime the turbo thats why i was asking what fuse to pull.
 
As a general rule of maintenance, I would also check the compressor shaft play every few weeks or so, just to make sure the turbo started out in good condition. Also, warm up your car before you drive it. I have a feeling that my T25's death was due partly to sub-zero driving without proper warm-up.
 
I finished the install, and primed it up good then went for a drive. Actually i let it run for about 10 mins or so to burn off all the oil and the new manifold and i had already turned my boost down just didn't know how much. Went for a ride and its totally different sound and speed hitting about 10 psi. So then i turned the boost up a little and you were right about the creeping it would creep to about 18psi. Of course i know i don't have supporting mods yet cause i'm waiting on them but this thing feels slower to about 4500-5000 rpm and after that it pulls like a mofo compared to the old worn out t-25 untill it would hit fuel cut that is. The exhaust is now a little deeper sounding and i like it, but that may be due to the larger ported manifold i installed also. So i just turned the boost back down till the rest of my stuff comes in.
