I currently have my hx super 40 t4 19 cm housing twin scroll with a custom made twin scroll t4 manifold with twin tial 44 mm waste gates and two dumps. I traded this whole setup to a buddy of mine for his 7 blade hx35 twin scroll 12 cm with a open t3 style tubular manifold with a single external 38mm waste gate and dump tube. Now my question is what kinda spool times will i be seeing with this setup? Should i smooth or knife edge the exhaust housing to help with the flow of the open manifold? Will my spool times be worse than 4700/5000 rpms like my old hx40? Will my bc 280 cams cause this new turbo to spool slowly?

My buddy's 1G had the same HX35 setup. He spooled around 4500, so it'll be quicker than the 40 for sure. He seems to believe Brian Crower cams are Satan, and ran HKS 272s on it, however that didn't change spool speed much. He also knifeedged. How much boost are you planning on running with it?

Sorry that didn't really answer your question thoroughly :( but that's what we had running on it.

If you read the holset page it says that you should spool by 4000 but if you have 280 cams and have the degreed i would be willing to bet spool would be around 3500-3700 rpm
