im not sure that i hooked up teh wastegate acctuator right. There was a nipple on my 90 degree bend pipe and a nipple coming off the wastegate acctuator and no nipple on the turbo (evoIII 16g). there was a vaccuum hose that ran from the intake accordian to a lil black box (maybe a switch of some kind)......not sure where it went when it came out of the box.......anyway now it goes from the 90 degree bend nipple to the black box then to the wastegate........what i wanna know is what is that black box.......i can take a pic after work tongiht if that will help.....also can someone with a 97-99 that has a 16g snap a pic of the vaccuum lines that connect to the wastegate........id really appreciate it

thanks

vacuum hosing should run in this order:

boost source/nipple on IC pipe --> Boost Control Solenoid (little box) --> WG Actuator on turbo

the only thing i can't tell you off the top of my head is which hose goes to which nipple on teh Boost Control Solenoid - flip flop them and monitor boost levels

BTW - I assume your not running a manual boost controller if you are then its: boost source --> MBC --> WG actua

ok so the mbc replaces the boost control solinoid? i have one but the set screw is stripped out adn i cant adjust it.......i have to get another one.....thanks for the quick reply....that helped a lot

yeah MBC replaces the stock boost control solenoid (BCS)

just leave the electrical connection plugged into the BCS so the computer *thinks* the BCS is still there. The vaccuum lines to it do not matter if a MBC is hooked up.

Thanks guys u both were a big help.......and im a visual person so the picture helped, thanks agian

Nah, that was done in the good ol' paint program. I love windows LOL. Paint has been around forever.
