new turbo hitting coolant pipe

so i ran into a lil problem tonite while installing my sbr g-60 turbo. was about to bolt it up to the head and realized the housing is hitting the coolant pipe.

im sure someone has came across that when installing the bigger turbos??
can i beat it with a hammer??
what options do i have??
i really wanna get this thing goind this weekedn

You will have to dent the waterpipe a tad bit with a hammer. Just be careful not to abuse the waterpipe and make a hole. Good luck

You will have to dent the water pipe to squeeze the housing in. Use the hammer but be careful wrap a towel around the end of the hammer and dent it in. People have ran into this problem including myself being one of them running my AGP 60-1 turbo.

do u guys recommend me taking it off the car and beating it or can i do it in place without any damage? thanks for the replies

Easiest to do it out of the car. While it's still mounted though you want to mark the spot where you want the dent to be. Then just remove it and have at it.

easiest to dent off car but have seen many do it on the car. Just wrap it up when you hit it or use a blunt object nothing like a punch to knock a hole in it something thicker
