new tranny

ok i got a 93 gsx and was wondering since the turbo awds are so rare at junkyards.. is there another option i can go for a different tranny. like fwd or non turbo thanks

I'm in the same boat and i was looking at jack's transmissions and they have a pretty affordable rebuild kit, or you can purchase the whole tranny for pretty reasonable costs.

I did research and between jack, tre and shep i chose tre because you get more done for what you pay for. I also talked with all 3 guys( jack by email) and john from tre was the most informative. His customer service was second to none and he talked to me for about an hour or so about dsms and their transmissions. I recommend giving him a call and speaking with him about what you want.

check out asap motors.com i got mine from there for 400bux and it comes with warranty which i happily used after a week of using it i dont recommend stock trannys while runnin 600hp they dont last but that place is inexspensive

The site doesn't have anything to do with transmission rebuilding and if it had anything to do with transmissions I wouldn't trust a no-name company that offers warranty to get people to buy their transmission. And for only $400 I guaranteed you it won't hold 500 ft./lbs. You would need double synchros, welded or 4 spider, forks, etc...
