New Tranny from Jacks!

Hey Guys,

Just got my new transmission to my house in Canada and so far I am thoughroughly impressed with the customer service and the shiny transmission . Obviously I cant give a full report until it is installed and I break it in.

Hopefully I can get the 500 miles in before winter. God I hate Winter.

This is what my build consisted of

Value Build with the following
-Evo gearset i.e (1,3,4,5) all double synchro
-Hi Temp Clear Coat

They were even kind enough to include some flywheel bolts at no extra charge!

Response times on emails was always within 24hrs

HAHA its actually not a bag it is a poster that hangs from a wooden dowel attached to a string on my dining room wall!

Do not plug those large threaded holes. I believe 1g trannys are like 2g tranny's in a sense that those two holes have sensors that go into them. One is for the speedo and the other is the backup switch I believe. Anyway, Jack would know. Its been a while since I have see a 1g tranny but 2g's have sensors in those exact same spots.

Yup as I thought. Both of those holes contain sensors just like the 2g(sorry didnt want to guess in my previous post because I can not remember all the case differences between 1g/2g). Anyway this pic although horrible shows the two sensors.

Jesus, those two threaded holes are for a wire loom bracket. It's a little metal "strap" like piece that folds over the wire loom to keep it in place, you DON'T need it. However that other single hole is for, as previously mentioned, a rubber "dust cap."

Whoops. I thought he was talking about larger threaded holes with the obvious sensors missing. It pays to look at the black circle that I missed the first time through Good catch

I got mine from Jack's a week ago Except it was missing a couple things, .

What goes in these holes?! I can't remember because I do not have my other trans to looks at and compare. I PM'd Jack but it doesn't hurt to get help from you guys.

Actually if you look at the holes he(mindset) is talking about there is nothing there in the picture you(TRBOBLU) referenced you also have nothing in those two smaller holes, unless I am completely looking at the wrong spot on the tranny but I mean he did circle the holes .

EDIT** TRBOBLU were you just referring to the 1g tranny having sensors there? If so I apologize.

EDIT 2 **the difference is that my tranny is missing the rubber vent tube noted in your picture and the smaller two is what mindset was asking about.

I was referring to the two larger holes that are obviously missing the sensors. It was my mistake, I didnt realize in my first two posts that Mindset had circled those small holes in black. That is why I corrected myself in my previous post before someone rubbed it in I know the picture I posted shows nothing in the holes circled in black(which I did not orignally see circled) but it shows 2 sensors in the transmission which Mindsets's does not have inserted. I am talking about ALL of the holes circled in my original pic. Both the threaded ones AND the one that is just literally a hole in the casing.

So the hole has a rubber vent and the threaded ones hole some electrical bracket thats not needed?
