Okay so I just got my 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD 2 days ago. It has no rust and has the 2.0 Turbo and all that. The only problem that I dont like is the Auto tranny. I want to change that and get a 5 speed in it ASAP. I was just wondering where I should start mod wise and what are some of the newbie DO's and DONT's? Also is it possible to change the AWD to a FWD? Anyways where do I start? Thanks for any and all information I am looking around the site and see lots so far but much apriciated for any info ahead of time, thanks.

Hey thanks a ton I like that link hehe. I do have one question though... I used the search but cant find if its possible to convert the AWT to the FWD is there a thread for it or is it not at all possible? Im looking to get top end power not real a great launch ya know??

EDIT: Really jsut cant find tranny for AWD 5-Speed locally

Honestly I just really cant find a 5-speed AWD tranny locally otherwise I would keep it.

If you want FWD you should sell your car and buy a FWD car. It would be a total waste of a AWD to do that. How much money do you have to spend on a transmission? Do you have a transmission core right now thats blown up or something?

Where is a good place to get the AWD 5-speed Tranny?

check your local salvage yard for an AWD tranny you'll be better off in the long run sticking with AWD.

John sheppard transmissions, Jack's transmissions, Tre transmission. Goggle these and you will find what your looking for. There going to be a little pricey but they are very good transmissions. You could also call local transmission places and see if they could rebuild it for you.

Before anything else is done make sure you have your basics cover that includes new brake pads, rotors brake lines, new fluids, spark plugs and shocks. After that's done start with the handling because power and conversions means nothing if you can't handle it, let alone come to a complete stop.

You have to learn how to walk before you can run!!
