New to dsms need some help

Hi guys,bought a 98gs last year love the car but it needs a little more zip.Has the standard cold air intake and a 5zinger exhaust/header.Would like to get a little more from the car. Not shure what to do to it. would like to turbo but can't afford it yet. and i don't want to put nos on it [i have a problem with keeping my finger off of the button].Any suggestions? Would a apexi controller do any thing for me? thanks

No.

Take a look at the link posted above. It seems as though you already did steps 1, 2 and 4. Give steps 3, 5, and 8 some consideration. The others are rather time consuming and expensive for only marginal gains.

I Saw The Post On Upgrades, Was Not Shure If There Was Any Thing Else.it Also Already Has High Flow Cat.have Not Priced Under Drives For It,i've Put Them On My Pro Arena Race Truck.didn't Think The Were Worth The Money On A Small Block Chevy.it Has A Lean /rich Gauge On It, And When I'm Crusing About 1/4 Throttle It Is Extremly Lean. Thats Why I Was Curious About The Apexi.is The Throttle Body Boring Going To Be Noticable Or Is It Only Going To Give Me Like A Horse Or Two? Thanks Again

you should just save up until you can afford to piece together a turbo kit. that's the only bolt on things that you'll really feel

by the way dont trust those lean rich gauges they arent worth a da** even brand new. get a wide band if you really want to know. i have seen those narrow bands read lean or rich, then we hooked up the wide band and that wasnt what it was at all.

what would you recomend for a wide band? Also ebay turbo kits good or bad? did some search some guys say yes some say stay away? ive looked at the turbo kit for under 1000 page. option one. option two i have access to turbos [not from cars but from various other things] any idea what size compressor and ext. housing i would need to look for?i now i would probley need to build a manifold/header to accept some thing different but not a problem.cusion has a machine shop.
