New to DSM's have a question about auto trans.

Hello i have a 1991 Talon TSI AWD auto. The guy i got it from gave up on it and gave it to me. It had a bad ECU in it and would not start. I replaced that and fired it up last night it started right up and ran good. I went to move it and it goes in reverse real nice but in drive it revs up but crawls forward and keeps on revving. Almost like a stick car with a shitty clutch. I checked the fluid and it smells good and not burnt. Anyone have any ideas??

Or does anyone have a AWD auto they are parting out close to pa so i can just swap it out ?? thanks

you can do the auto to manual tranny swapout if your mechanically inclined to do so ....do some searches on that one.

i thought about swapping it to manual. dunno yet depends on if i can find all the parts quickly.

check the classifieds, seems like 1g transmission are a dime a dozen around here.
