Hey guys I'm kind of new here but please bare with me on this! I recently bought a 99 spyder gst and am seeing some critical issues, I've checked around on some threads and nothing really seems to be helping me much I replaced the valve cover gasket on my car and noticed that I am leaking a lot of oil to the point where. 4 quarts have disappeared in 5 days. I read a lot that the valve cover could be cracked but I am more than sure that that's not the issue some oil is pooling up on top of the valve cover where the spark plugs are located... Could be the cap but I don't really see any oil around it so I'm a little bit skeptical. Not only that but my oil pressure on my dash always stays pointing downwards as if it were always low! Any advice for a rook?

Vavle covers are so easy to crack it's not even funny...I've cracked two before learning my lesson. Sounds like you have a cracked inner bolt, but that would not account for such severe oil loss. Is the car burning oil, eg, do you see smoke out of the exhaust?

Do you have any spots under the car when you park? If your losin that much oil you would be able to see it either burning or leakin

There actually are a couple of oil stains on the floor didn't really put the pieces together until this morning, when I did the oil change I noticed that the oil pan was covered with oil I cleaned it off and now that I just checked it it's covered in oil again so it's coming from that area I'm guessing

I'm not burning any oil no smoke what so ever coming out

get a bright light and look at it from the bottom up and follow the trail, Find the cause before you just start changing parts.

Like Infamous said, check the oil pan gasket. I never even put gaskets on my oil pan. Had bad luck with them so I always use rtv to seal it. If that looks good, check around the front case area, the turbo drain line (or even the feed line), the oil filter and housing. These are all good areas to look.

Really good suggestions guys! I really appreciate the help, sorry I couldn't reply sooner I got carried away at work.... It's dark outside ill take a look under my car in the morning and will definitely keep you guys updated! Thanks again
