Hi guys... i just picked up a project for next to nothing.. 92 Eclipse 2.0 N/T

My first question is a dumb one... Has anyone out there had the issue with the stock stereo where the 3 passenger speakers all stop working? AND or does anyone know where i can pick up a stock stereo for cheap? I know its dump to get a stock one but hey call me nostalgic i want to keep the interior looking as stock as possible.. just mod under the hood

Also has anyone out there installed a turbo into the N/T 1G? was it worth the hassle?

I'd just check junk yards and ebay for the head unit. If you have the 2.0l n/t 4G63 then yes, many people have converted them to turbo 4G63's.

From what I've read on here, you CAN turbo your non-turbo motor, but you'd be light years ahead to just go ahead and buy a factory turbo car to play with. Your motor was never intended to have turbo, so you've got a bit more work ahead of you if you decide to go that route.

My first vehicle was a 92 N/T.. so I know where you're at. ;P

I wouldn't Turbo it. It costs quite a bit and the prep work that needs to be done is essentially converting the motor entirely to a Turbo Engine, save for oil squirters which are a huge argument over whether you need them or not.

The N/T Ring lands are different than the ones in the turbo block. Too much boost/knock and you'll bust those to pieces. I'd say build this one to be peppy and then just drop a few hundred on a project turbo'd DSM. ^^

You could also swap a 6 bolt 4G63T in, which is probably easier then turboing the N/T 4G63.
