New to DSM...finally one i can drive!

Well over the past year or so ive come across a couple dsm's that ive considered picking up for a full build project...a buddy of mine had this car but wasnt really interested in messing with it because of tranny issues...i traded him a few SRT-4 parts for this 1992 talon TSi...i have to say, that i think i made a good trade...after i fixed the tranny issue (clutch wasnt properly adjusted) the car runs and drives perfectly...being a 16yr old car of course there are a couple issues that need to be fixed and cleaned up...check it out and let me know what you think...

Guys i didnt hear him say it was AWD... He said its a 92 TSI, He didnt say anything about AWD.

Look at the side of the car it says AWD on the side by the window.

The 6/4 combo was only put in the 1992 DSM's. The 6 stands for the 6 bolt motor, and the 4 stands for a 4 bolt rear end. Its the best drivetrain ever put into a DSM. Very few have it, he and I are one of the lucky ones to come across a 6/4 combo. The best part about it is the limited slip rear end.

It has AWD stickers...so hopefully its AWD. Did he ever say it was a 6/4 though? One little thing I noticed: you have the wrong tail lights! You have the straight bottom ones off of the 1ga talons. I wonder if those would leak??

damn, so i guess i am SOL on thinking i have an actual 6 bolt then.
93 talon tsi awd is what i am working with.

I think you mean 7 bolt motor 4 bolt rear. 92-94 all the the rear ends were 4bolt.

140,000ish...i cant remember the exactly...i plan to drive it for a little while with maybe
a small turbo upgrade before i actually tear it down and build it...i own an 05 sr4 also that im returning as close to stock as i can get it because i just cant see cuttin up and caging a brand new car with 17k miles on it...i want an all out drag car and i know that the tsi is a better choice....

the previous owner is doing a srt4 swapped neon build and i hooked him up with a used stock srt4 shortblock and an exhaust...
